How to create a classified

1. JOIN: To begin creating classified ads at DressageStar.com

It's easy and free to join. Look for the Join link near the upper right hand area of the site on the toolbar.

2. Login and go to "my folder" which will appear on the toolbar once you are logged in.

3. Once in your folder, you will have another toolbar available with "add item" as a choice. Click add item and select "Horse Classified"

4. Enter the details of you ad and upload your photos.

This is the part where you upload photos. You will need to resize the photos you have on your hardrive beforehand so they are no larger than 300 pixels wide. Your ad will take a long time to edit and a long time to load for viewers if you do not make them smaller! Use Google's free program Picasa to do this if you like.

***Pay special attention to the photo addition part of the form. You may upload up to 4 photos. You are required to upload the very first photo at a minimum. You will also will need choose "replace with new image" for each photo you add.

If you make a mistake and the form prompts you to correct any form information you must reselect the photos with "browse." You will also will need choose "replace with new image" again.

5. Save your ad and pay for it.

A pay button will appear at the top of your ad. Please pay as soon as possible to get your ad activated. We use PayPal to process credit card payments. You do not have to be a PayPal member to do this.

As soon as we have reviewed your paid ad, we will activate it and you will receive a confirmation email. We try to do this within 24 hours but it could take up to 48 hours under special circumstances.

Your done!

We have placed a lot of online horse ads. Some things we did not like about other ad sites we have tried to eliminate on ours:

• You may edit your ad at any time at no charge!
• You may also change your photos at any time at no charge!
  
• There is no expiration date on your ad! If you sell your horse just mark it SOLD in the status section.

NOTE: "preferences': If you have looked at any of the ads on our site you may have noticed "Sellers Details" listed which include phone number, city, state, county, web site, etc. Once logged in you may go to your "preferences" located in the upper right hand corner and fill in this information for it to display on your ads. You can do this at any time.
